Light weight, a collar and just the right amount of dad style, Hurley’s One and Only Stretch Short Sleeve Button Up Shirt ($55) is my go-to summer “fancy” attire.

The button up short sleeve with a collar gives it the right kind of vibe for just about any summer-time occasion. From a backyard patio dinner party to a cocktail at the club, this shirt features a 98% cotton/2% spandex blend which gives it flexibility and flowability for even the warmest summer days.

I’ve packed mine to Hawaii, baseball tournaments, dinner date with my wife and a host of other events so far this summer. The lose fit allows a gentle breeze to flow through keeping you cool and the material blend allows you to stay comfortable at all times.

For most of my life I’ve found myself falling right in-between sizes. I want to be a large but more often find myself opting for an XL out of personal preference. The XL in Hurley is a bit more boxy fitting but allows for a bit more space in the armpits and around the stomach which after wearing for a long evening is well worth the tradeoff. I’ve found this is true for Hurley tshirts as well.

At $55 a shirt, it’s well worth it at full price, however, Hurley seems to be running a sale almost constantly. You can routinely find them for $38.50 or better depending on the current sale.

If you’re looking for a well-priced, stylish and comfortable shirt that fits almost any summer occasion, then this One and Only Stretch Short Sleeve men’s button up from Hurley is your go-to.

It’s laid back beach vibe is exactly what most of us dads are looking for and won’t break the bank like the offerings from some other more premium brands. Even if you only get one summer out of it, I think it’s a great addition to your closet.
